Volunteers bring the Heart Gallery to life in countless ways—professional photographers capture the children’s stories, while others help set up and take down galleries, update displays, create social media content, or prepare prints. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference in helping children in foster care be seen and connected with their forever families..

Ambassadors

Ambassadors are general volunteers who help bring the Heart Gallery to life in their communities. From hosting or assisting with gallery installations to supporting events, outreach, and behind-the-scenes work, ambassadors play a critical role in keeping everything moving.

You can help by:

  • Hosting or assisting with a heart gallery installation
  • Supporting events and community outreach
  • Helping with setup, takedown, or organization
  • Assisting our team behind the scenes

Your time helps children in East Texas move one step closer to belonging.

Photographers

Heart Gallery East Texas recruits and supports talented volunteer photographers across Texas to provide professional photo experiences for children waiting to be adopted. These images help tell a child’s story, highlight their personality, and increase visibility among adoptive families and professionals involved in their care.

You can help by:

  • Providing high-quality, age-appropriate portraits
  • Sharing images in a timely manner after photo sessions
  • Helping children be seen on Heart Gallery East Texas and the Texas Adoption Resource Exchange
