How it works.

Heart Gallery recruits and supports some of the finest photographers in Texas to ensure that every child in foster care who is waiting for an adoptive family gets a professional photo shoot experience to help tell their story and increase their chances of adoption.

Our volunteer photographers share high-quality images from photo shoots with family and professionals in the child’s life to assist them in recruiting adoptive families for the child.

We are always looking for new photographers to help us connect children with families!

How you can help.

Provide high-quality images

in a timely manner after the photo shoot. These photographs will be used for the Heart Gallery and state-run Texas Adoption Resource Exchange websites.

Use your skills and talents

to create age-appropriate portraits of children.

Volunteer on your schedule

Volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows! You set the day/time/travel parameters.

Your name/business will be on our website for as long as you are a volunteer, and we’d love to have you share our “Heart Gallery Volunteer” logo on your website as well. We will link your information to each child’s Heart Gallery page with your photos. We also love to thank our photographers on social media!

Maximum travel distance*

Please be as specific as possible regarding the maximum distance you’re willing to travel from your location to a photo shoot. For example, you might say that you’re willing to go as far South as Nacogdoches, as far west as Terrell, as far north as Mineola, and as far east as Marshall. This helps us assign you children that fall within your preferences. Many of the children live outside of the immediate Tyler area. Please reference the Region 4 Map.
